KOSTAL extends the warranty on all inverters up to 20 kW to 10 years

KOSTAL Solar Electric, a German company with 110 years of experience in electronics and mechatronics, has announced that starting from April 2022 it will extend the warranty to 10 years for all inverters up to 20 kW.

The extended warranty Smart Warranty plus covers for 10 years all the inverter components and replacement costs during the first 5 years after commissioning and includes the extended warranty on materials from the 6th year.

The Smart Warranty plus applies to all inverters of the PIKO MP plus, PIKO IQ, PLENTICORE plus, PIKO 12-20 and PLENTICORE BI series with power up to 20 kW.

Free Smart Warranty plus activation

The Smart Warranty plus can be activated free of charge within the first 6 months of purchase through the KOSTAL Solar Webshop (Warranty> Free Smart Warranty activation). You will receive the guarantee certificate by email upon activation.

The free activation of the warranty and the extension of the paid warranty can be done easily via smartphone.

Just access the new PRO mode of the KOSTAL Solar App and scan the serial number of the inverter.

Extended warranty for a fee

With the introduction of the free Smart Warranty plus, the paid warranty extension (5, 10 and 15 years) is eliminated.

All inverters up to 20 kW with commissioning date prior to 01/04/2022 are excluded. In this case, the 5-year warranty extension can still be purchased on the KOSTAL Solar Webshop up to 2 years after the date of purchase / commissioning.

Smart Warranty for PIKO CI and ENECTOR wallbox

For the PIKO CI commercial inverter and the new ENECTOR wallbox, customers continue to benefit from the Smart Warranty and therefore the full service for 5 years free of charge.
