VARTA, the battery that made everything possible

Last July 20th was the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. When Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to walk on the moon, it was a moment followed by the whole world. A moment captured by images that have been engraved in the collective memory of humanity.

Astronauts used a widely modified Hasselblad 500 EL Data Camera to shoot stunning photos. The electric motor of this camera was powered by a VARTA DEAC DKZ 5/500 rechargeable gas-tight battery.

The products developed by Varta Storage are VARTA Element and VARTA Pulse The first one was introduced on the market in 2016 and is designed for all residential systems with the three-phase connection. The sizes available for this product are 6, 9 and 12 kWh. In addition to this, VARTA Pulse was presented in 2017 and is presented as the solution for residential with single-phase connection, available in sizes from 3 to 6 kWh.
