The new Energy Bank battery completes SolarEdge’s proposal for a smart home.
Starting from the heart of the photovoltaic system, that is the inverter, SolarEdge offers optimizers to intelligently manage each of the modules installed in your roof, but also directly modules with optimizers pre-installed on the frame of the module, Smart Energy devices to increase the self-consumption going to make the most of the self-produced energy on domestic hot water tanks, heat pumps but also any loads.
Furthermore, in its catalog SolarEdge has an inverter with integrated EV charger so as to charge your electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid.
New Energy Bank battery
The new Energy Bank battery with nominal energy of 10.7 kWh thanks to the connection on the continuous side ensures one of the highest efficiencies on the market, greater than 94.5%.
The charging and discharging power is 5 kW but with the possibility of reaching up to 7.5 kW for short periods of time (10 seconds).
Compatible with single-phase HD Wave inverters
The current compatibility with single-phase inverters of the HD Wave series, in all its variants, from the standard one, to the StorEdge but also to the EV charger allows you to implement systems with AC side power of up to 18 kW.
This is feasible due to the fact is possible to connect up to 3 inverter in the same inverter and the power module power can reach up to 27 kWp.
Up to 3 batteries in series
In addition, it is possible to insert up to a maximum of 3 batteries with simple Y cables on the same inverter, bringing the total capacity of the system in its maximum expression to over 90 nominal kWh.
Communication between the battery BMS and the inverter
The communication between the battery BMS and the inverter can take place in a wired way through the classic RS485 bus but also wirelessly thanks to the innovative Energy Net protocol.
With the latter solution, the maximum energy that can be drawn from the battery will be 9.7 kWh, 200 Wh more than wired communication.
Both indoor and outdoor installation feasible
The installation can be done both indoors and outdoors, the IP protection degree is 55 and the operating temperature range is from -10 to + 50 ° C. As standard it is equipped with a wall bracket but it is possible to position it on optional dedicated stand if you do not have a wall capable of supporting its 121 kg weight.
Finally, the guarantee is among the highest on the market, 10 years on manufacturing defects with a minimum residual capacity of 70% without a limit number of cycles.
