In the second quarter of 2017, JinkoSolar beat another record for the sale of photovoltaic panels by the shipment of 2,884MW of modules.
New record for JinkoSolar in the second quarter of 2017
Thanks to this increase in sales, JinkoSolar sent nearly 5GW of photovoltaic panels in the middle of the year, signaling a big increase over previous years.
Despite this, the sales prospects for the whole year 2017 have not changed, remain between 8.5GW and 9GW, with an expectation of 2.1-2.3GW in the third quarter, however higher than the first.
Kangping Chen, CEO of JinkoSolar, commented: “Second-quarter shipments again signed an high record, rising by 39.5%. Shipment in recent quarters has climbed to new peaks, allowing us to continuously capitalize on the growing recognition of JinkoSolar brand and excellent products and services to increase our market share. “
Strong demand from the Chinese market
“China’s demand was strong during the quarter, boosted by major orders ahead of Feed-in-Tariffs expiring on June 30. This impetus is continuing in the third quarter with Top Runner projects, PV Poverty Alleviation and DG Projects that generate a stable demand that is expected to continue throughout the rest of the year. The long-term demand for the Chinese market will be supported by the upward revision of the NEA’s five-year goals.
The section 201’s petition in the United States continues to create few market certainty. We remain committed to the US market and we believe that its long-term growth impetus will not change.
Demand on emerging markets continued to grow, representing a larger share of our shipments during the quarter. and will continue to create a strong demand in the future. The solar markets in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil in Latin America are rapidly growing in scale as Egypt and Jordan in the Middle East have the potential to become markets at GW level for next year. We expect demand in emerging markets to grow in 2018″, Chen added.
