Thermic and electric Storage

The possibility to use renewable sources for energy production, consumed in human activities, is significant in order to reduce the usage of fossil fuels and therefore toxic gasses emissions.

Storage for renewable sources

PV is the basic technology to produce renewable energy. However, also heat pumps, thermodynamic and conditioning systems are important ways to produce clean energy through renewable sources. As a matter of facts, the sun, by heating the air, favors watering of forests

The reason to store

Due to the fact that clean energy is neither constant nor programmable, the opportunity to store it becomes essential. Nowadays, it is possible to store large quantities of hot water in tanks and electrochemical energy in batteries, which are reliable, safe and powerful.

1] Hot water storage is the easiest system: energy produced by heat pumps, which is stored in tanks, uses only 1/3 of electric energy and 2/3 of renewable energy. Then, if this energy is produced by a PV system, hot water production becomes carbon neutral (zero impact).

2] Electrochemical storage of the energy produced in PV systems responds to the need of using clean, cheap and renewable energy also when irradiation is not possible. Electricity is the most flexible and efficient type of energy for both domestic and industrial usages.

Need of a thermal-electric installer

The fusion between electric and thermal applications brings to the creation of reference figures that, both individually and as a group of professionals, provide to final users combined solutions. Heat pumps, electric storage, PV systems and charging stations for EV are essential technologies that installer must know and propose.

Note: The energy stored in a 300 liters tank at 55°C is approximately equal at 14kWh, which can be generated by an heat pump, consuming only 4kWh.
