SolarEdge Nexis Battery is a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) energy storage system designed to integrate with SolarEdge photovoltaic solutions and optimise the management of generated energy.
Its modular architecture allows storage capacity to be configured according to system requirements, with the possibility of future expansion.
Modular and Scalable Battery
The system consists of Battery Blocks, each with a nominal capacity of approximately 5 kWh, which can be combined into units known as Battery Stacks.
Each Battery Stack can accommodate 1 to 4 modules, providing a maximum nominal capacity of approximately 20 kWh.
Up to 4 Battery Stacks can be connected to a compatible inverter, delivering a total nominal capacity of up to 80 kWh, depending on the supported configuration.
Simplified Installation with Simple-Click™
SolarEdge Simple-Click™ technology enables quick module assembly through an integrated connection mechanism, eliminating the need for separate cabling between individual Battery Blocks.
The compact design, with a depth of just 194 mm, helps optimise installation space.
Modules can be installed in floor-mounted or wall-mounted configurations, both indoors and outdoors, in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation requirements.
Integrated Battery Optimiser
SolarEdge Nexis Battery features an integrated optimisation system that independently manages individual battery modules.
This technology enables:
- Optimised charging and discharging cycles.
- Improved thermal management.
- Continued system operation in the event of individual module faults, subject to operating conditions.
- Integration of new and existing modules with automatic recalibration.
- Optimised use of stored energy.
Backup and Intelligent Energy Management
When combined with the SolarEdge Nexis inverter and SolarEdge Home Backup Interface, the system supports backup functionality of up to 20 kW, depending on the configuration.
AI-based energy management modes help optimise self-consumption, schedule battery charging and discharging, and take advantage of dynamic electricity tariffs.
Safety and Environmental Resistance
The battery is designed to provide protection against dust, water and challenging environmental conditions.
It incorporates thermal management systems and heating elements to support operation at low temperatures.
LFP technology and multiple layers of protection contribute to overall system safety and reliability.
