SMA Sunny Tripower 125 – STP125-70


The SMA Sunny Tripower 125 is a 125 kW three-phase inverter designed for large commercial and industrial PV systems. Its 12 MPP trackers, 24 string inputs and high input-current capacity provide design flexibility and efficient management of the PV array.

The SMA Sunny Tripower 125 is a three-phase solar inverter developed for large commercial and industrial PV systems, ground-mounted installations and complex rooftops. With a nominal power of 125 kW, it is suitable for decentralised system architectures that can be scaled up to the megawatt range.

The inverter can manage PV arrays of up to 187.5 kWp and achieves a maximum efficiency of 98.4%. Its 12 independent MPP trackers, each equipped with two string inputs, allow the different sections of the PV array to be managed separately.

This configuration provides considerable design flexibility for systems with different orientations, inclinations or irradiation conditions. A usable input current of up to 30 A per MPP tracker also makes the Sunny Tripower 125 compatible with modern high-power and high-current PV modules.

SMA ShadeFix technology helps optimise energy production under partially shaded conditions. SMA ArcFix supports arc-fault detection, while SMA Smart Connected enables the early identification of inverter anomalies.

Communication via SMA Speedwire and Modbus allows the inverter to be integrated into system monitoring and management platforms. SMA Data Manager M and Sunny Portal powered by ennexOS provide centralised control, configuration and performance monitoring.

Wi-Fi connectivity simplifies commissioning and diagnostics. The Sunny Tripower 125 therefore provides installers, designers and EPC contractors with an efficient and scalable solution for large C&I solar projects.
