  • The ability to access real-time and historical product data
  • Easy and fast uploading of product diagnostic information to the BYD server
  • The option to access service guidelines and visit the Battery-Box website directly from the app
  • Faster receipt of updates and notifications from BYD

Be Connect 2.0: technical and operational aspects

Some important, more technical points that deserve attention:

  • The app is available on the Google Play Store and the App Store and supports English, German, Spanish, French, and Italian.
  • Among the required permissions, location access is mandatory to allow the app to detect the device’s network and properly guide the operation.
  • Firmware update: the app checks whether a newer version is available and automatically downloads it (or prompts the user to download) if so.
  • Wi-Fi connection: the app requires the device to connect to the battery’s Wi-Fi network (name starting with “BYD…”).
  • Log upload: users can select a time range (default: one month) and upload logs to the BYD server for technical support.
