What does Factory Inspection Certificate stand for?

The Factory Inspection Certificate identifies the production location and specifies the serial numbers, which have to be visible at the back of the PV module confirming their origin. The inspection procedure is based on the control of all production steps and processes that lead to the final product and is done by a certification authority, in the case of BISOL by OVE Austrian Electrotechnical Association. The certificate is valid for one year and during this time the factory location is under the periodic surveillance program that regularly checks the compliance with several standards such as PV module safety qualification, PV technology-dependent modifications to the testing procedures and construction requirements for PV modules.
