AIKO, a leading manufacturer in the high-efficiency photovoltaic module segment, stands out for its strong focus on innovation, efficiency and, above all, sustainability.
Over recent years, AIKO has consolidated its leadership position, strengthening its presence in the global solar market and contributing to the development of next-generation PV technologies.
New AIKO efficiency record for photovoltaic modules
AIKO manufactures solar modules achieving 24.6% efficiency, surpassing the previous global record of 24.2%.
TaiyangNews has also confirmed that AIKO modules featuring N-Type ABC technology maintain the leading position in its global ranking for mass production module efficiency.
N-Type ABC technology: beyond efficiency
This innovative technology has significantly raised photovoltaic module performance standards through advanced engineering solutions, including:
- Silver-free coating, reducing the use of precious materials and improving sustainability
- Single-sided welding technology, increasing module reliability and resistance to micro-cracks
- Optimised energy management in partial shading conditions, ensuring higher energy yields in real installation environments
- Improved high-temperature performance, maintaining module efficiency even under challenging climatic conditions
One of AIKO’s key objectives is the continuous improvement of module efficiency, as demonstrated by the company’s extensive intellectual property portfolio, which includes more than 1,000 patents related to N-Type ABC technology, including over 500 invention patents and more than 300 authorised patents.
AIKO’s commitment to sustainability
Alongside its mission to continuously increase photovoltaic efficiency, AIKO is actively contributing to the transition towards a zero-carbon energy system.
Based on the National Key Research and Development Programme of the Ministry of Science and Technology, AIKO supports the development of integrated renewable energy solutions for zero-carbon buildings and energy systems.
Dan’gan Island zero-carbon demonstration project in Zhuhai
Through the development of an efficient PV generation, energy storage and EV charging microgrid system, Dan’gan Island has become a global benchmark for zero-carbon energy applications.
The project is expected to generate 250,000 kWh of electricity annually, reducing carbon emissions by approximately 105 tonnes per year. This enables the island to rely on zero-carbon energy sources while promoting the adoption of sustainable energy solutions.
The project was also selected for the “Study on Typical Scenarios and Technical Pathways of New Energy Storage in APEC Cities”, becoming a reference case for global energy transition initiatives.
