BYD expands its range for residential photovoltaic systems with an integrated and complete solution: the new Battery-Box HVE batteries combined with hybrid Power-Box inverters, available in both single-phase (SH3-6K) and three-phase (TH5-15K) versions.
These products are designed to work in perfect synergy, ensuring intelligent energy management and maximizing self-consumption, efficiency, and safety.
BYD Battery-Box HVE: scalable and reliable storage
Thanks to BYD’s long-standing experience in lithium-ion battery technology since 2002, the Battery-Box HVE represents one of the most advanced solutions in the field of home energy storage.
These batteries feature LFP modules in two sizes: 4.29 and 6.45 kWh.
Battery towers can be assembled using both the 4.29 kWh and 6.45 kWh modules, providing greater flexibility in configuration and allowing users to choose the total capacity based on system requirements.
In fact, by combining the two module sizes, the capacity increase between configurations can be as little as 2.16 kWh.
Overall, up to 12 different configurations are possible, reaching a maximum capacity of 70.92 kWh by connecting three battery towers in parallel.
With a compact design and a thickness of just 14 cm, these batteries are among the thinnest in the world. Moreover, thanks to the patented plug-in system, these batteries are easy to install, either wall-mounted or floor-standing.
The IP65 protection rating, makes them suitable for outdoor installations as well.
BYD Power-Box: inverter with intelligent control
BYD Power-Box inverters perfectly complement the HVE system, offering advanced management of both energy production and storage.
The single-phase SH3-6K series achieves efficiencies of up to 97.7%, with two MPPTs and support for currents up to 16 A per MPPT – ideal for high-power modules. With a dedicated backup output and the ability to deliver up to 200% of nominal power for 60 seconds, the system ensures continuity even during power outages.
The three-phase TH5-15K series, designed for small commercial systems, offers maximum configuration flexibility: a start-up voltage of just 180 V, current up to 18 A per input, and the possibility of oversizing up to 150%. It also includes advanced features such as AFCI, type II DC/AC surge protection devices, and three-phase backup with up to 100% phase imbalance.
All Power-Box inverters support connection of up to 3 units in parallel within the same system and are equipped with WiFi, LAN, and RS485 connectivity for complete and intelligent control.
