Huawei three-phase inverter for C&I PV plants with storage batteries

Huawei offers various solutions for commercial and industrial plants with the possibility of integrating energy storage systems even for large plants, the three-phase string and hybrid inverter range allows a wide flexibility of configuration and management.

Residential LUNA2000 Battery for Commercial Installations

LUNA2000-(5-30)-S0 residential battery interfaces with the M1 and MB0 series of hybrid inverters.

With the possibility of storing up to 100 kWh of energy on a single system with capacity distributed over a maximum of 3 MB0 inverters.

Hybrid three-phase inverters:

The hybrid inverter range for systems with power of less than 100 kW presents flexible and easily configurable solutions.

These inverters are equipped with AFCI (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter) technology, protection against electric arcs. Accurate arc fault detection via local neural network algorithm. Speedy arc fault protection by inverter shutdown in 0.5s.

PID Recovery (Potential-induced degradation) technology makes it possible to restore part of the performance lost by photovoltaic modules due to degradation over the years, this technology therefore allows to obtain an advantage and an improvement in performance especially on plants where revamping operations have been carried out.

The M1 and MB0 series inverters are bidirectional and allow the batteries to be charged both on the DC and AC sides, which makes it possible to exploit, for example, the overproduction that can result from other inverters in cascade.

Huawei SUN2000–3/4/5/6/8/10KTL-M1

Hybrid inverter with double MPPT and single input each has extra voltage technology that allows you to reach a maximum voltage of 1100 V in DC and the possibility of DC/AC oversizing up to 150% which also allows you to charge the storage batteries.

With the M1 series it is possible to manage up to 6 Luna 2000 battery modules obtaining a maximum capacity of 30 kWh through the use of 2 BMS.

This inverter can work with 450W and 600W single-panel optimizers.

New Hybrid Inverter SUN2000–12/15/17/20/25KTL-MB0

This new range of hybrid inverters, even more flexible and performing than the M1 series, works with 2 dual-string MPPTs per MPPT, extra voltage technology with a maximum voltage of 1100 V and the possibility of oversizing up to 150%.

In the MB0 series, up to 12 LUNA 2000 battery modules (60 kWh) with 4 BMS can be connected.

Compatible with 450W and 600W single-module optimizers. This series is also equipped with AFCI and PID Recovery technology.

String Inverters:

All these inverters are multi MPPT with double string, as far as communication is concerned, they all have serial communication through RS485 bus and with the exception of the M5 series the other series can communicate via MBUS AC, it is a powerline communication with waves conveyed on the AC power cables that allows you not to connect communication cables to the system.

C&I inverters for PV systems with powers above 100kW

As far as large systems are concerned, in addition to a complete range of three-phase string inverters, it is also possible to install the new dedicated storage system LUNA2000-200/161/129KWH-2H1 and LUNA2000 – 97KWH-1H1, a battery cabin consisting of LFP Battery Rack, fire extinguishing system and PCS.

Cascade system configurations managed by SmartDongle or SmartLogger

The SmartDongle can manage up to a maximum of 10 devices without battery connected in cascade via RS485, a master inverter will be defined on which the SmartDongle must be installed.

In the case of using the SmartLogger, the device will act as a master and it is possible to connect up to 80 devices in RS485 cascade with the SmartLogger3000A, while with the 3000B version it is possible to connect up to 200 devices in cascade with a maximum of 150 inverters. Inverters can be either hybrid or string inverters in the same system.

Cascade configurations with DC storage batteries

In this case, they can be installed with M1 or MB0 inverters, mixed configurations are not allowed with these two series of inverters because they are NOT compatible with each other. In both it is possible to install only 3 inverters per system in total, with or without battery, also including M2/M3/M5 series inverters.

As for the cascade system configurations with DC storage with M1 inverter, the power is limited up to a maximum of 30kW and a maximum of 90 kWh of storage.

In cascade systems with MB0 inverters and DC storage managed with SmartLoggers, it is possible to have a power of up to 165 kW in AC and 100 kWh of storage.

These solutions are compatible with CEI 0-21 and CIE 0-16 systems, which are also ideal for solutions for the Agrisolare tender.

System Configurations with AC Storage

In this case, the storage system consists of a series of Smart String ESS cabins in parallel. The system can work with Huawei or third-party inverters.

Ideal on industrial or ground-based systems, in the presence of third-party inverters, or incompatible models, the installation of an isolation transformer is required.
