Huawei C&I Solutions

Huawei’s inverter range is mainly divided into two product categories: for small C&I systems (under 100 kW) and for large commercial installations (above 100 kW).

For both macro categories, battery storage systems can be integrated.

Small C&I Systems

Inverters

The product range for small C&I installations under 100 kW includes the following inverters:

  • Hybrid inverters SUN2000-xxKTL-M1, from 3 to 10 kW, with dual MPPT and single string.
  • Hybrid inverters SUN2000-xxK-MAP0, from 5 to 12 kW, with dual MPPT and single string.
  • Hybrid inverters SUN2000-xxK-MB0, from 12 to 25 kW, with two MPPT and dual string, featuring extra voltage technology (1100Vdc) and the ability to oversize up to 150%.
  • String inverters SUN2000-xxKTL-M3, from 30 to 50 kW, with dual string and 4 MPPT. In addition to RS485 serial communication, the 50 kW models can also communicate via power line communication (PLC) over the AC line, known as MBUS.

All inverters (except the single-phase models) include PID Recovery technology, which helps recover part of the performance loss caused by PID in aging panels, making them ideal for revamping installations.

Three-phase meters

Also available for this system category are:

  • The Smart Power Sensor SMARTPS-250A-T0, with Huawei custom current transformers.
  • The new Smart Power Sensor DTSU666-HW, a direct-insertion three-phase meter up to 80 A, with the option to connect third-party CTs (1 or 5 A secondary), which are widely available on the market.

Connectivity

For communication and management, Smart Dongles are available, which connect to the internet via WiFi or Ethernet (WLAN FE version) or via SIM card (4G version), enabling system monitoring through the FusionSolar app.

Optimizers

Accessories include single-panel optimizers SUN2000-450W-P2 and SUN2000-600W-P, with an input current of 14.5 A. These inverters also include AFCI (Arc Fault Circuit Interruption) protection and DC MBUS communication via power line.

Commercial storage solutions

These residential batteries can be paired with hybrid inverters and, by configuring multi-tower setups, can also be used in small commercial installations. Each tower consists of up to 3 battery modules and one BMS.

With LUNA2000-S0 batteries, each module has a capacity of 5 kWh and the BMS supports up to 5 kW.

With the newer LUNA2000-S1 batteries, these values increase to 7 kWh per module and 10.5 kW per BMS, allowing significantly more capacity to be connected to a single inverter.

Using M1 and MAP0 hybrid inverters, up to 2 BMS units with 6 battery modules can be installed. With the MB0 inverter, which has two battery inputs, up to 4 BMS units and 12 battery modules are supported.

Systems over 100 kW

Inverters

The product range for large-scale installations currently includes:

  • String inverters 100/115 KTL-M2
  • String inverter 150K-MG0, which introduces important safety features, such as connector temperature monitoring and automatic string disconnection in case of a fault.

Optimizers

For this type of system, dual-panel optimizers MERC-1100W/1300W-P can be used. These support up to 20 A and a voltage of 125 V.

Connectivity

For monitoring, options include:

  • Smart Dongle 2.0 WLAN-FE or 4G, supporting up to 10 devices.
  • SmartLogger 3000A, capable of monitoring up to 80 devices (including weather stations and environmental sensors), with communication via RS485 or AC MBUS.

Industrial storage solutions

For these systems, Huawei offers an AC-coupled retrofit cabinet, the new LUNA2000‑107-215‑2S10 energy storage system.

This BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) is designed for maximum efficiency, modularity, and safety. Each cabinet offers a capacity of 107, 161, or 215 kWh, and is expandable up to:

  • 20 units in parallel with a PV system.
  • 50 units in parallel in BESS-only configurations,

enabling multi-MWh installations.

Ideal for self-consumption, peak shaving, and time shifting applications.

Each unit features high-capacity LiFePO4 cells (280 Ah) and an integrated 108 kW PCS (Power Conversion System) for dynamic energy management. Designed for outdoor use, the system is IP55 rated and equipped with a hybrid cooling system (air and liquid), which improves thermal efficiency and extends system lifespan.

In terms of safety, the LUNA2000-215 includes thermal propagation prevention, isolation of faulty cells, and a controlled gas venting mechanism in case of emergency. Management and monitoring are integrated into the FusionSolar platform, accessible remotely via Ethernet or fiber optic connection.
