The GoodWe ESA Series three-phase is an All-in-One energy storage solution for advanced residential photovoltaic systems and small commercial applications.
Available with power ratings from 5 to 30 kW, it integrates a hybrid inverter, batteries and intelligent energy management into a modular, pre-wired structure. Stackable modules, quick-connect terminals and a clip-on CT simplify connections and enable fast commissioning.
The system supports up to 12 battery modules with capacities of 5, 6, 8 or 9 kWh, providing a total storage capacity of up to 108 kWh. Batteries with different capacities can be combined, and the system can be expanded at a later stage. Up to six systems can also operate in parallel in both on-grid and off-grid mode.
Depending on the power rating, the inverter features up to four MPPTs and supports input currents of up to 21 A per string. PV array oversizing up to 200% increases the energy available under lower solar irradiation and enables the system to power loads while simultaneously charging the batteries.
The AI-driven EMS analyses generation, consumption, weather conditions and energy tariffs, automatically scheduling battery charging and discharging at the most cost-effective times.
In the event of a power cut, backup switching occurs in under 4 ms. The 80 A internal bypass supports whole-home backup, while the dual-port design removes the need for an external static transfer switch.
Safety features include LiFePO₄ cells, six-layer protection, AFCI 3.0 and an aerosol-based fire suppression system. The IP66 protection rating and optional heating module enable reliable operation in challenging environmental conditions down to -20°C.
The 5 to 8 kW configurations can achieve a noise level of approximately 30 dB at 25°C, making the ESA Series suitable for installation close to living areas.
