ZCS Azzurro obtains EPD certification

Thanks to its commitment to sustainability, ZCS Azzurro, the brand of the Green Innovation Division of Zucchetti Centro Sistemi, has obtained EPD environmental certification (Environmental Product Declaration) for its entire product portfolio, including inverters, batteries and EV charging stations.

An EPD is an internationally recognised environmental declaration that transparently reports the environmental impact of a product throughout its entire life cycle. It is based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which evaluates key stages including:

raw material production
manufacturing
transport
product use and operational lifetime
end-of-life disposal or recycling

ZCS Azzurro began its certification process in 2023, achieving the certification two years ahead of international regulatory requirements. This milestone is also supported by the environmental performance of some of its devices, which can offset the total CO₂ emissions generated throughout their life cycle within just a few months.

For installers, EPC contractors and energy professionals, EPD certification provides transparent and verified environmental data that can support more informed product selection and sustainability assessments for photovoltaic, energy storage and EV charging projects.

The ZCS Azzurro Analysis and Repair Centre, operational since 2024 and with an annual capacity of 20,000 service operations, enables the company to provide:
