SigenStor and Sigen Hybrid: Sigenergy solutions for residential and small commercial solar PV systems

Sigenergy has rapidly established itself as one of the most innovative manufacturers in the global solar PV market, introducing solutions that integrate solar PV, energy storage, smart energy management and e-mobility within a single ecosystem.

Among its most significant innovations are the EV DC Charger integrated into the SigenStor system and, for the C&I segment, hybrid inverters rated up to 125 kW, combined with modular energy storage systems ranging from 50 to 250 kWh. Up to 100 units can be connected in parallel, enabling configurations with a total power output of up to 12.5 MW and battery storage capacity of up to 25 MWh.

For the residential and small commercial market, Sigenergy offers two complementary solutions: SigenStor and Sigen Hybrid, designed to provide maximum system design flexibility, high energy efficiency and straightforward installation.

SigenStor: all-in-one energy storage system with integrated hybrid inverter

SigenStor is an all-in-one system combining a hybrid inverter, modular batteries, smart energy management and, optionally, DC charging for electric vehicles.

The platform helps maximise self-consumption, optimise energy flows and reduce electricity drawn from the grid through integrated Artificial Intelligence, which automatically manages solar PV generation, battery storage, household consumption and EV charging.

Modular batteries up to 54 kWh

The system uses stackable battery modules of approximately 6 kWh and 9 kWh, which can be freely combined to create storage systems with a capacity of up to 54 kWh per stack.

The low-voltage architecture, with a Battery Management System (BMS) integrated into each battery module, makes it possible to expand storage capacity at a later stage without replacing the existing system.

From an installation perspective, the modules feature integrated plug-and-play connectors, significantly reducing installation and wiring time.

SigenStor EC hybrid inverters

SigenStor EC hybrid inverters are at the heart of the all-in-one system and are available in the following power ratings:

  • single-phase from 3 to 6 kW
  • three-phase from 5 to 30 kW

Up to 20 units can also be connected in parallel, enabling higher-power configurations for advanced residential applications and small commercial installations.

Integrated EV DC Charger: smart electric vehicle charging

One of the key features of SigenStor is the option to integrate an EV DC Charger module directly into the energy storage system.

Unlike conventional AC wallboxes, the DC charger interfaces directly with the battery and inverter, helping to improve energy efficiency and reduce power conversion stages.

Equipped with a CCS2 connector, the module is designed to support future Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) functionality and provides charging power of up to:

  • 25 kW in three-phase systems;
  • 12.5 kW in single-phase systems.

Compared with a conventional 7.4 kW AC wallbox, the system can provide up to 170% more charging power, significantly reducing EV charging times.

Sigen Hybrid: hybrid inverters for maximum installation flexibility

For installers who prefer a more conventional system configuration or do not require the integrated EV DC Charger, Sigenergy offers Sigen Hybrid inverters, which are fully compatible with SigenStor batteries.

This solution retains the benefits of smart energy management while allowing the inverter and battery storage system to be installed as physically separate units.

Sigen Hybrid inverters are available in the following power ratings:

  • single-phase from 3 to 6 kW
  • three-phase from 3 to 12 kW

One of their most distinctive features is the extremely compact design, with a depth of just 99 mm, providing greater installation flexibility without requiring the inverter to be positioned on top of the battery storage system.

Backup Gateway: power continuity during grid outages

The Sigenergy portfolio is completed by a range of Backup Gateways, designed to maintain power supply during grid outages.

The systems provide 0 ms switchover, ensuring continuity of supply either to priority loads or to the entire property, depending on the selected configuration.

By integrating an ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch), a generator can also be connected to support loads during extended power outages. This configuration is particularly suitable for prolonged blackouts or off-grid applications, such as remote homes and mountain properties.

Several gateway versions are available:

  • HomePro SP (single-phase): supports up to 1 inverter;
  • HomePro TP (three-phase): supports up to 1 inverter;
  • HomeMax TP (three-phase): supports up to 2 inverters, with power ratings up to 50 kW;
  • Gateway Cxxx: commercial gateway solutions for applications featuring multiple SigenStor EC systems.

Why choose SigenStor and Sigen Hybrid?

By integrating hybrid inverters, modular batteries, Artificial Intelligence, backup systems and DC electric vehicle charging, SigenStor and Sigen Hybrid provide comprehensive solutions for today’s residential and small commercial solar PV market.

For installers, these solutions offer greater system design flexibility, shorter installation times, future expansion options and an integrated technology ecosystem designed to meet customers’ evolving energy requirements.
