The power optimizers act as a DC / DC converter and are connected to 2 photovoltaic modules to increase its efficiency. SolarEdge optimizers make the intelligent modules by constantly tracking the maximum power point (MPPT) of a series or parallel of 2 modules.
They also monitor the performance of the modules by interfacing with the SolarEdge monitoring platform, and thanks to the SafeDC ™ feature, they automatically shut down the power and the voltage of the modules to ensure their levels of security when the inverter switch off.
Power optimizers for commercial and large systems
These optimizers are specifically designed to work with SolarEdge inverters, automatically maintaining a fixed string voltage, providing greater flexibility in system design with longer strings and different lengths or orientation.
